Banks are Closing Due to Customers Riots

On Wednesday, some commercial banks in Kogi were closed while their customers staged a peaceful protest over not getting the money they would use on a daily basis.

It is the customers who are asking the banks to either stop saying they have no money or close their banks. Some of the affected banks include GTB, Unity, Zenith, Access and Unity Bank located on IBB Road, which is closed till the day.

A customer, named Ibrahim, told NAN that their protest stemmed from their accusations against the banks for refusing to issue or distribute new Naira notes to customers for disobeying the instructions of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

We have been complaining in these banks without being able to get any money that will help us and our families survive this difficult time
