Hassan Adamu, popularly known as Hassan the King of Dogarai, is the third Dogarai king who was appointed by the late  Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero as the head of the royal family in 1990. two other people in the past, these people are Adamu and Dan Wudil and it was after the death of Adamu that Hassan was appointed, and after his death the current king of Dogarai, Dan Bala, was appointed.

However, unlike the king Adamu and Dan Wudil, Hassan is not an orphan. He was originally a driver in the business of driving a car before he later became a servant to the governor of Kano, the late Tijani Hashim, the man who first appointed him as his guardian and became the seal of his entry into the palace of Kano.

In 1990, after the death of Dogarai king Dan Wudil, the late Tijani Hashim asked the king of Kano Ado Alfarmar to appoint Hassan as Dogarai king because of his loyalty and bravery, and for the love he showed to the king.

The late Hassan lived with his family in Sagagi area, near the house of Ado Bayero's mother, before he later moved to the area of ​​Dogarai's house in Dogarai area, near the house of the Emir of Kano. Hassan was among the chiefs of the Kano Trust because of his strength and bravery and his strict loyalty to the king of Kano Ado.

Hassan is a complicated person, because of his height and he is called by Bishiya The late Hassan first met the famous Hausa singer, Alh Dr. Maman Shata, while doing his business, she drives a car. After Hassan became the king of Dogarai, Shata  sang the song "Hassan sarkin Dogarai" for him, a song that made Hassan's name all over the world, now Hassan's family returned to his house in Sagagi neighborhood where they continued to live after his death.
