In the reforms brought by Murtala, including plans to reform the management of local governments in 1975 , discussions began on how to reform the local government system and appointed a sub-committee to follow up on that. , at first the states were allowed to prepare how to manage their local governments, in the end the federal government saw that if the same arrangement is not made in the country, a child can be born without an eye.
The federal government has ordered the country to reform the local government system in order to bring out the meaning of the local government, its activities, expenditure, the role of traditional rulers in the reporting process of these zones - the zones have been distributed in the meetings organized by the government. in Ibadan to amend the proposals and review the comments of local government workers, traditional rulers and other people.
