The great Greek political philosopher, Aristotle who is regarded as the father of politics and political science, began his famous work, with the observation that “man is nature a political animal”. By this, he means that his essence of social existence is politics and that two or more individual interacting with each other or one another are invariably involve in apolitical relationship.
Aristotle also means that very few people would prefer an isolated life to one that includes social companionship, Individuals are engaged in politics as they try to define their position in society, as they struggle for scare resources and as they try to persuade other or get them convinced to accept point on view.
Aristotle, then concluded that the only way to maximize one’s individual capabilities and to attain the highest form of social life was through political interaction with other in an institutionalized setting, a setting designed to resolve social conflicts and to set collective goals that is the state.
